The following incident occurred on Wednesday, July 26, 2023:
Motor Vehicle Crash with Injury -
At approximately 4:53 PM, Deputies responded to a two vehicle crash in the W300 block of Atkinson Rd., Town of Albany. Investigation determined David Piper, 83, of Albany was attempting to turn westbound from Bent and Dent onto Atkinson Rd. At this time, an eastbound vehicle on Atkinson Rd., being operated by Kent Weiler, 53, of Albany, collided with David's car. Both cars sustained disabling damage with airbag deployment and were towed from the scene. David was transported by EMS for serious, non-life-threatening injuries.
