All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The following incident occurred on Monday, July 17, 2023:

Probation Arrest – 

At approximately 10:44 AM, Deputies responded to the Green County Probation and Parole Office and placed Gavin B. Vance, 24 of Monroe, under arrest for a probation hold. Gavin was transported to the Green County Jail where he will be held. 

Motor Vehicle Crash – 

At approximately 5:54 PM, Deputies responded to the N3100 block of CTH M, in the Town of Jordan, for a report of a vehicle in the ditch. Deputies spoke with the driver Jimmy L Marty, 48 of South Wayne, who advised he was traveling southbound when his vehicle dropped onto the gravel shoulder and he failed to regain control. The vehicle continued to in the ditch line, struck a culvert, went across a driveway and became lodged in a deep ditch embankment. Jimmy advised that he was not injured, was wearing his seatbelt, and both front airbags deployed. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
