The following events occurred on July 1, 2023:
All person’s arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH/OWI:
At 4:58 p.m., Deputies responded to the W8700 block of State Highway 11, in the Town of Cadiz, for a single vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Lexa C. Miller, 30 of Mount Horeb was traveling westbound when she lost control. The vehicle then entered the north ditch and collided with a sign post before coming to rest. Miller reported no injuries, was wearing her seatbelt, and the airbags did deploy. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
Investigation resulted in Miller being cited for Operating While Under the Influence (1st) and for Operating with a Prohibited Alcohol Concentration. Miller was released to a responsible party pending court.
OWI:
At 5:45p.m., Deputies responded to the W6100 block of County Highway H, in the Town of New Glarus for the report of a disturbance. Investigation resulted in Kevin L. Hermanson, 55 of New Glarus being placed under arrest for Operating While Under the Influence (2nd). Hermanson was released to a responsible parting pending court. The New Glarus Police Department assisted at the scene.
OWI:
At 10:08 p.m., Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a registration violation in the N3600 block of Race Road, in the Town of Decatur. Investigation resulted in the operator, Kelly R. Martin, 51 of Brodhead being placed under arrest for Operating While Under the Influence (1st). Martin was further cited for Operating with a Prohibited Alcohol Concentration. Martin was released to a responsible party pending court. The Brodhead Police Department assisted at the scene.
