The following incident occurred on Thursday, June 29, 2023:

Possession of Child Pornography Arrest -

At approximately 5:45 AM on Thursday, June 29, 2023, the Green County Sheriff's Office Detective Bureau, assisted by the Green County Sheriff's Office SRT Team, the Village of Monticello Police Department, and the Wisconsin Department of Justice, executed a residential search warrant at 327 S Garfield St, #106, in the Village of Monticello as part of an Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Investigation.

As a result of several months of investigation which began with the receipt of a National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) Cybertip in October 2022 referred from the Wisconsin Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force, a search warrant was issued for COREY L WURTZBACHER, Age 24, of the above address for his dwelling and person. Following the search warrant, WURTZBACHER was arrested without incident and incarcerated in the Green County Jail, pending an initial court appearance. WURTZBACHER was arrested on 3 counts of Possession of Child Pornography and one count of Sexual Exploitation of a Child. The case remains under investigation.

Pursuant to the directive of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, as found in Supreme Court Rule 20:3.6, Trial Publicity, you are advised that a charge is merely an accusation and that a defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
