The following incident occurred on Monday, June 19, 2023:
Motor vehicle Crash with Injury -
At approximately 11:36 AM, Deputies, Belleville EMS, and the Belleville Police Department, responded to the intersection of STH 92 and Remy Rd., Town of Exeter, for a single vehicle crash with injury.
Investigation determined the operator, Emily Schwartzlow, 16, was negotiating a curve in the roadway and was operating too quickly. Emily lost control of her vehicle, struck a traffic sign and a utility post. The vehicle sustained disabling damage with no airbag deployment and was towed from the scene. Emily received non-life-threatening injury, reported wearing her seatbelt and declined medical attention.
Motor Vehicle Crash -
At approximately 2:02 PM, Deputies responded to the N9600 block of Argue Rd., Town of New Glarus, for a two vehicle crash with no injury.
Investigation determined a vehicle being operated by, Ellie Lancaster, 16, was backing out her driveway when she was struck by an oncoming northbound vehicle. The northbound vehicle, being operated by Matt L. Anderson, 38 of New Glarus, advised that vehicle backed out of the driveway right in front of him and was unable to avid collision. Neither driver nor their passengers were injured and all reported wearing seatbelts. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.
OWI Arrest -
At approximately 10:07 PM, Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the W3800 blk of STH 11, Town of Sylvester, after they observed it leave it's lane of travel and almost contact another vehicle. Investigation resulted in the operator, Abel Tomas-Hernandez, 33 of Monroe, being arrested for Operating While Under the Influence of Alcohol - 1st Offense. Abel was also issued a citation for Prohibited Alcohol Concentration and was later released to a responsible party with a future court date.
