The following events occurred on June 18, 2023:

All person’s arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

DRUG/NARCOTIC VIOLATION:

At 9:50 p.m., Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a speed violation in the N1600 block of State Highway 69, in the Town of Clarno. Investigation resulted in the driver, Jacob D. Kubly, 18 of Lena being cited for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Kubly was released pending court.

MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH-INJURY:

At 10:36 p.m., Deputies responded to the W4500 block of County Highway W, in the Town of Exeter for a single vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Isaac M. McKinley, 16 of Belleville was traveling eastbound when he reportedly swerved to avoid a deer in the roadway. The vehicle left the roadway to the south and then re-entered the roadway. The vehicle then entered the north ditch and collided with a culvert. The vehicle then overturned and came to rest on its side.

McKinley reported non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. McKinley reported wearing his seatbelt, and the airbags did deploy. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
