All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The following incident occurred on Wednesday, April 19, 2023:

Injury Crash, OWI Arrest – 

On 04/19/2023 at approximately 5:12 PM, Deputies, the Albany Police Department, Evansville EMS and the Evansville Fire Department, responded to the N7300 blk of Krause Rd., Town of Brooklyn, for a report of a single vehicle crash with injury. 

Investigation determined the operator, Scott W. Seemuth, 56 of Janesville, was traveling west on Brooklyn-Albany Rd., when he advised another vehicle pulled in front of him, causing him to swerve. Scott crossed through the intersection of Krause Rd. and Brooklyn-Albany Rd, entered the west ditch of Krause Rd., went down a wooded embankment and struck a tree head on. There was no airbag

deployment as there airbags had been previously deployed and taped back into the steering wheel from a prior incident. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and Scott sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported by EMS. 

Further investigation resulted in Scott being placed under arrest for Operating While Under the Influence of Alcohol - 4th Offense. Scott was also issued a citation for Failure to Maintain Control of his Vehicle and Poss3ess Open Intoxicants in a Motor Vehicle. Scott was issued a mandatory future court date and was held at the Green County Jail pending his initial court appearance.
