Deputies from the Green and Dane County Sheriff's Office are currently investigating a law enforcement incident in the downtown area of the Village of Brooklyn.

Citizens should avoid traveling through the Village of Brooklyn until notified otherwise.  Motorists that need to travel northbound through the Village should take STH 104 to STH 92, turn eastbound on STH 92, travel to US Highway 14 and proceed northbound from there.  Motorists that need to travel southbound, should take CTH MM to CTH A south of Oregon, travel eastbound on CTH A to US Highway 14 and continue southbound from there.

There have been no reported injuries to any member of the community or to any law enforcement officers.

Note that due to the incident, the polling place for the Village of Brooklyn has been moved to the Brooklyn Public Works Department, located on the west side of STH 104 where the highway enters the Village from the south.
