The following events occurred on February 16, 2023:

MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH-PROPERTY DAMAGE:
At 11:53 a.m., Deputies responded to the W600 block of Dunphy Road, in the Town of Albany for a single vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Emma R. Riese, 19 of Belleville was traveling east when she lost control of the vehicle due to the snowy road conditions. Riese’s vehicle entered the ditch and came to rest. Riese advised she was not injured, was wearing her seatbelt, and the airbags did not deploy. Riese’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.
MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH-PROPERTY DAMAGE:
At 12;16 p.m., Deputies responded to the W5200 block of County Highway KK, in the Town of Monroe for a two-vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by David P. Lovett, 87 of Monroe was backing when he collided with a vehicle traveling eastbound. Lovett was not injured, was not wearing his seatbelt, and the airbags did not deploy. Lovett’s vehicle sustained functional damage and was driven from the scene. Lovett was cited for unsafe backing and was released pending court.
The eastbound vehicle was operated by Scott D. Cernek, 61 of Gratiot. Cernek reported no injuries, was wearing his seatbelt, and the airbags did not deploy. Cernek’s vehicle sustained functional damage and was driven from the scene.
