All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
The following incident occurred on Saturday, July 23, 2022:
Motor Vehicle Crash –
At approximately 5:33 PM, Deputies responded to the N2300 block of County Highway S, Town of Jefferson, for a report of a car vs. motorcycle crash.
Investigation determined that the operator of the car, Elizabeth A. Lovett, 42 of Monroe, backed into a legally parked motorcycle in a parking lot. There were no injuries and nobody was injured. Both vehicles were driven from the scene.
OWI Arrest –
At approximately 1:13 AM, Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle traveling eastbound in the westbound lane in the W4900 block of State Highway 11, Town of Monroe.
Investigation resulted in the operator, Alberto Rodriguez-Hernandez, 31 of South Wayne, being arrested for Operating Under the Influence of Alcohol – 2nd Offense. Alberto was also cited for Driving on the Wrong Side of a Divided Highway, Operating While revoked due to Alcohol, and Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Insurance. Alberto was transported to the Green County Jail pending a release to a responsible party.
