The following incident occurred on Wednesday, June 08, 2022:
Motor Vehicle Crash –
At approximately 8:18 PM, Deputies responded to the W3100 block of County Highway EE, Town of Mt. Pleasant, for a one vehicle rollover crash.
Investigation determined the operator, Socorro Garcia-Hernandez, 32 of Monticello, was traveling east on CTH EE when he swerved to miss a deer. Socorro’s vehicle entered the north shoulder, striking an embankment. This caused the vehicle to roll on to the driver’s side where it came to a rest. Socorro reported wearing his seatbelt, there was no airbag deployment and he was not injured. The vehicle had to be towed due to disabling damage.
Socorro was subsequently issued citations for Operating Without a Valid License (3rd Offense within 3 Years) and Failure to Maintain Control of his vehicle. Socorro was released with a future court date.
