The following events occurred on January 26, 2026:

Probation Violation

At 2:48 PM, Deputies responded to the Green County Probation & Parole Office, where Todd R. Gilbertson, 62, of Blanchardville, was placed under arrest for a Probation Violation.  Gilbertson was later incarcerated at the Green County Jail. 

Motor Vehicle Crash - Personal Injury

At 4:56 PM, Deputies, along with Green County EMS, responded to the W5900 block of STH 11, in the Town of Monroe, for a two vehicle crash with injury.  The investigation found that a vehicle operated by James L. Hurlbert, 64, of Monroe, was traveling westbound on the exit ramp from STH 11 to STH 81, when he collided with a vehicle operated by Joseph B. Goltz, 50, of Monroe, who was stopped at a stop sign.  Goltz advised that he was wearing his seatbelt and sustained suspected minor injury.  Goltz’s vehicle sustained functional damage, with no airbag deployment, and was driven from the scene.  Hurlbert advised he was wearing his seatbelt and was uninjured.  Hurlbert’s vehicle sustained disabling damage, with airbag deployment, and was towed from the scene.
