Operating While under the Influence
At 4:51 PM, Deputies responded to the parking lot of the Green County Sheriff’s Office following a traffic complaint of a vehicle that stopped at the Sheriff’s Office. The investigation resulted in the driver, Jayden P. Diaz Barnett, 28, of Monroe, being placed under arrest for Operating While under the Influence. Diaz Barnett was additionally cited for Operating with a Prohibited Alcohol Concentration. Diaz Barnett was later released to a responsible person pending court.
Criminal Arrest
At 5:02 PM, Deputies responded to the N8100 block of Zentner Rd., in the Town of New Glarus, for a reported suspicious vehicle parked in the roadway. Upon arrival, Deputies made contact with the driver, Lucas C. Williams, 28, of Blanchardville, who later fled from the scene. Deputies initiated a pursuit and shortly after Williams lost control of the vehicle and entered the east ditch, where the vehicle overturned and then came to a rest. Williams advised he was wearing his seatbelt and was later transported to the hospital for further medical care. The vehicle sustained disabling damage, without airbag deployment, and was towed from the scene. The investigation resulted in Williams being placed under arrest for Operating While under the Influence (4th Offense), Fleeing/Eluding an Officer, and Resisting/Obstructing an Officer. Williams was later incarcerated at the Green County jail pending court.
