2025 Sheriff's Office Press Releases Posted on December 02, 2025

The following events occurred on December 1, 2025:

All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

"Pursuant to the directive of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, as found in Supreme Court Rule 20:3.6, Trial Publicity, you are advised that a charge is merely an accusation and that a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.”


MVC - Property Damage:

3:20 PM, Deputies, the New Glarus Police Department, the Monticello Police Department, and the New Glarus Fire Department, responded to the N7500 blk of STH 69, Town of New Glarus, for an initial report of a single vehicle rollover crash with unknown injury.  Investigation determined a south bound vehicle on STH 69 operated by Jose G. Vasquez-Rodriguez, 23, Sheboygan, was attempting to merge into traffic but was unable to safely do so due to a vehicle blocking his way.  Jose's vehicle entered the shoulder of the roadway where it then lost traction and traveled down an embankment on the west side of the roadway.  Jose and his two passengers reported wearing their seatbelts and not being injured. The vehicle sustained functional damage with no airbag deployment and was towed from the scene.


MVC - Property Damage:

At 9:07 PM, Deputies were dispatched to W3300 block of CTH W, Town of Exeter, for a rollover accident with no reported injuries.  Deputies responded to the scene and made contact with the driver, Ethan R.J. Elliot, 20, Beloit.  Ethan reported traveling eastbound on STH 92 when he failed to negotiate the curve to the left.  Ethan's vehicle then slid across CTH W and he was unable to regain control causing his vehicle to enter the south ditch and overturn.  Ethan reported wearing his seatbelt and was uninjured. Belleville EMS and Belleville Fire Department responded to assist at the scene.  Ethan's vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.  Ethan was cited for Underage Possession of Intoxicants in a Motor Vehicle.  He was released with a court date.
