2025 Sheriff's Office Press Releases Posted on August 06, 2025

The following events occurred on  August 5, 2025:

All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

"Pursuant to the directive of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, as found in Supreme Court Rule 20:3.6, Trial Publicity, you are advised that a charge is merely an accusation and that a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.”


Green County Sheriff's Office seeks community assistance

Overnight and into this morning, Deputies with the Green County Sheriff's Office responded to several reports of thefts and/or attempted thefts from motor vehicles in the Village of Browntown, WI.

From the seven currently known/reported incidents - several items were stolen from these victims which included the theft of firearms.

The Green County Sheriff's Office is requesting the assistance of community members to review any security camera footage from the previous evening into this morning for any suspicious content.

Valuable items within view

It only takes a few seconds for someone to steal your belongings from your vehicle.

* Hide all valuables (or remove them from the vehicle to avoid the opportunity for thieves)

* Lock your vehicle doors

* Stay alert
