On July 29, 2025 the Sheriff’s Office was notified that the driver of the pickup truck had died as a result of her injuries sustained in the motor vehicle crash on July 26, 2025. The driver was identified as Amanda L. Parsons 43, of Monroe. Parsons was northbound on Tucker Road approximately ¼ mile west of County Hwy N in the Town of Washington when she lost control while negotiating a curve. The pickup truck left the roadway and collided with a tree in the west ditch. Parsons was the lone occupant of the vehicle and was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. The crash remains under investigation at this time. Alcohol use is a contributing factor in the crash.
This is the fifth traffic fatality in Green County for 2025.
