Criminal Arrest
At 12:05 AM, Deputies responded to the 1000 block of W. 2nd Ave., in the City of Brodhead, for a reported disturbance. An investigation resulted in Edmond W. Ellis, 24, of Brodhead, being placed under arrest for Strangulation & Suffocation, False Imprisonment, Intimidation of a Victim, Battery, and Disorderly Conduct, falling under Wisconsin’s domestic abuse laws. Ellis was later incarcerated at the Green County Jail pending court.
Motor Vehicle Crash – Property Damage
At 4:02 AM, Deputies responded to the W2300 block of CTH EE, in the Town of Albany, for a reported one vehicle crash with unknown injuries. The investigation found that Cecilia P.L. Larson, 22, of Evansville, was traveling eastbound when she swerved to miss a deer. Larson then entered the south shoulder, where she struck a road sign and mailbox. Larson then traveled across the road and entered a corn field to the north, where the vehicle came to a rest. Larson advised she was uninjured and wearing her seatbelt. Larson’s vehicle sustained functional damage, with no airbag deployment, and was towed from the scene. The investigation resulted in Larson being cited for Failure to Report a Crash to Law Enforcement and Failure to Maintain Control.
