The following incidents occurred on Wednesday, July 16th, 2025:

MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT-PERSONAL INJURY:
At approximately 1:45 PM, Deputies responded to the N6800 block of County Highway X, Town of Albany, for a report of a two vehicle accident with injuries.
Investigations found that a vehicle driven by Thomas Erbs, 65, of Darlington was negotiating a curve, northbound, when he crossed over the centerline and struck another vehicle operated by Scott Best, 66, of Albany.
Erbs reported no injury, no airbag deployment, and no seatbelt use. Erbs vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Best reported injury, no airbag deployment, and was wearing his seatbelt. Best’s vehicle was driven from the scene.
Erbs was cited for failure to maintain control and released pending a future court date.
