The following events occurred on June 27, 2025:

All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

"Pursuant to the directive of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, as found in Supreme Court Rule 20:3.6, Trial Publicity, you are advised that a charge is merely an accusation and that a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.”

MVC - Property Damage:

At 4:53 AM, deputies responded to a two vehicle accident with no injuries and no road blockage in the N9300 block of STH 78, Town of York.  A vehicle operated by Daniel E Swiggum, 44, Blanchardville, was eastbound on STH 78 when another vehicle operated by Kenya C Quiroz Ilias, 30, Darlington, also eastbound, attempted a passing maneuver and struck Swiggum's vehicle.

Swiggum reported wearing his seatbelt and was uninjured. airbag deployment.  Swiggum's vehicle sustained functional damage, but no airbag deployment.  Swiggum’s vehicle was driven from the scene.

Quiroz Ilias and her passengers all reported being properly restrained, and were  uninjured.  Quiroz Ilias' vehicle sustained functional damage, but no airbag deployment.  Quiroz Ilias was cited for operating without a valid driver license and operating a motor vehicle without insurance. Her vehicle remained at the scene, and Quiroz Ilias was released pending a court date.
