UPDATE TO ACTIVE INVESTIGATION - ADDITIONAL ARREST
On June 3, 2025 the Green County Sheriff’s Office began an investigation of reported Sexual Acts involving a convicted sexual offender confined to the Green County Jail.
Due to the nature of the alleged crimes, the Green County Sheriff’s Office Detective Division was assigned to conduct further investigation. A previous press release was issued on June 5, 2025 reporting the arrest of ISAIAH COOK. On June 9, 2025 COOK was officially charged in Green County Circuit Court under 2025CF83 on 3 counts of Felony Bail Jumping and 3 counts of Lewd and Lascivious Behavior. COOK appeared for an initial appearance on June 9, 2025 and the case is set for a Preliminary Hearing in Green County Circuit Court on June 23, 2025 (per CCAP).
With the continued investigation, an additional arrest has been made involving another Green County Jail Inmate.
Green County Law Enforcement had developed probable cause to support the arrest of CHARLES EDWARD JAEGER, 27, of Monroe, WI for the following crime:
Lewd and Lascivious Behavior ~ WI SS 944.20(1)(a)
JAEGER was booked into the Green County Jail on one count of Lewd and Lascivious Behavior on Tuesday, June 10, 2025. JAEGER was previously taken into custody on a hold issued by Probation and Parole on Thursday, June 5, 2025 and has been in the custody of the Green County Jail since that arrest. On the afternoon of June 10, 2025, JAEGER was officially charged with two counts of Lewd and Lascivious Behavior under Green County Circuit Court 2025CM53. This investigation remains active and no additional information will be released at this time.
JAEGER has a previous sex crime conviction in the State of Wisconsin. JAEGER was convicted of Possess an Intimate Representation (victim under 18 years old) WI SS 942.09(2)(am)3 under Green County CCAP case 2019CF149 where he pled No Contest to the charge in Green County Circuit Court in May 2021 before the Honorable Judge James R. Beer.
