The following events occurred on May 21, 2025:
All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
"Pursuant to the directive of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, as found in Supreme Court Rule 20:3.6, Trial Publicity, you are advised that a charge is merely an accusation and that a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.”
MVC - Property Damage:
At 2:26 PM, Deputies responded to the W6100 block Franklin Rd, Town of Clarno, for a report of a two vehicle accident with no injuries. Kathleen M Golembiewski, 83, of Monroe, was westbound and turning south onto Alporn Rd. Jacob S Hillman, 18, of Orangeville, was eastbound when Golemiewski turned in front of him, causing a collision. Both Golembiewski and Hillman reported wearing their seatbelts and were uninjured. Neither vehicle had airbag deployment. Both vehicles sustained functional damage and were driven from the scene.
Golembiewski was cited for operating a motor vehicle w/o proof of insurance and was released pending court.
MVC - Personal Injury:
At 9:06 PM, Deputies responded to a single motor vehicle crash at the intersection of CTH K and CTH P, Town of Jefferson. Trent S. Newcomer, 18, Browntown, was westbound on CTH K, attempting to turn southbound onto CTH P, when he reported he swerved to avoid a deer in the roadway. The vehicle entered the west ditch, where it collided with an embankment and a utility pole before coming to rest. Newcomer reported wearing his seatbelt and sustained minor injuries. The vehicle sustained disabling damage, but no airbag deployment, and was towed from the scene.
Newcomer being cited for Fail/Stop at Stop Sign and released pending court.
