The following events occurred on April 10, 2025:

All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

"Pursuant to the directive of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, as found in Supreme Court Rule 20:3.6, Trial Publicity, you are advised that a charge is merely an accusation and that a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.”

MVC - Personal Injury:

At 10:05 PM, Deputies, along with GC EMS and Browntown FD, responded to a one vehicle crash on Allen Rd at Stubbe Rd, in the Town of Cadiz. Caydyn WJ Smith, 16, Monroe, was southbound on Allen Rd when he failed to negotiate the curve, westbound onto Stubbe Rd.  Smith’s vehicle went through the intersection and struck the embankment on the south side of Stubbe Rd.  Smith reported wearing a seatbelt and sustained injuries. Front seat passenger, Pamela Foesch, 16, Monroe, reported wearing her seatbelt and sustained injuries. The vehicle sustained disabling damage with airbag deployment.  The vehicle was towed from the scene. 

The crash remains under investigation.
