The following events occurred on Monday, March 17th , 2025:

OWI:
At approximately 3:26 AM, Deputies responded to the N7600 block of County Highway D, Town of Exeter, for a report of a suspicious vehicle parked in a driveway.
Investigations resulted in the driver, Stanley Bennett, 37, of Belleville, being arrested for Operating While Under the Influence-3rd offense. Bennet was additionally cited for Open intoxicants in Motor Vehicle.
Bennett was incarcerated at the Green County Jail.
MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT-PROPERTY DAMAGE:
At approximately 5:39 AM, Deputies responded to the N9000 block of State Highway 69, Town of New Glarus, for a report of a three vehicle accident.
Investigations found that a vehicle operated by Sean Johnson, 39, of New Glarus, was northbound on State Highway 69 when he braked for deer in the roadway. Another northbound vehicle operated by Douglas Olson, 62, of Canton (IL) slowed after seeing Johnson’s vehicle slow. A third northbound vehicle operated by Mitchell Soddy, 19, of Orangeville, then collided with Olson’s vehicle.
All parties denied injury, all reported seatbelt usage, and no airbag deployment within any of the vehicles. As a result of the crash Soddy’s vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Olson’s vehicle sustained functional damage and was driven from the scene.
