Town of Albany– Motor Vehicle Crash Fatality - 2/9/25

On Sunday, February 9, 2025 at approximately 12:59 AM the Green County Sheriff’s Office - Communication Center received a report of a single vehicle crash located at the intersection of English Settlement Rd & Dunphy Rd in the Town of Albany with serious injuries reported. Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene.  

Preliminary investigation determined a Ford Pickup Truck was southbound on English Settlement Rd where it proceeded through the yield controlled intersection onto Dunphy Rd. The vehicle traveled across Dunphy Rd where it collided with an embankment on the southside of road & traveled up a hill striking a bank of trees before coming to rest.  

The lone occupant of the vehicle was a 23 year old man from Belleville, WI who was pronounced deceased on scene. Deputies were assisted on scene by Albany Fire Department, Albany EMS, and the Green County Coroner’s Office.  

The investigation is ongoing at this time & more information will be released when available. 

This is the third traffic fatality in Green County in 2025.
