Accident- PD
At approximately 12:54 p.m., Deputies responded to the W6400 block of Farmers Grove Road, in the Town of New Glarus, for a single vehicle crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Michael R. Simonson, 47 of Verona, was traveling westbound, when he attempted to maneuver around an obstacle in the roadway. While maneuvering, his unsecured load of lumber shifted, causing Simonson to enter the north ditch and collide with a tree. Simonson reported no injuries, was wearing his seatbelt, and the airbags did not deploy. The vehicle sustained functional damage and was towed from the scene. Simonson was cited for failure to secure/construct load.
