The following events occurred on August 26, 2024:

Accident- PI

At 10:26 a.m. GRSO Deputies, BH EMS and FD responded to a two vehicle crash with injuries in the W800 block of CTH E, Town of Decatur.  A pickup operated by Mike S Berget, 72, Darlington, was traveling westbound and turning left/south into a field drive.  A car operated by Brett B Granzow, 34, Albany, was eastbound when he struck the rear passenger side wheel area. Granzow reported wearing his seatbelt, sustained injuries and  was transported..  Berget also reported wearing his seatbelt and was uninjured. Granzow's vehicle sustained disabling damage, airbags deployed and was towed.  Berget's pickup sustained functional damage to the passenger side rear tire and fender area.  There was no airbag deployment, and was driven from the scene.

Berget was cited for FYR while turning left; Granzow was cited for no vehicle insurance.  Both were released with non-mandatory court dates.
