The following events occurred on June 8, 2024:

Criminal Arrest

At 8:18 PM, Deputies responded to the W3000 block of High School Rd., in the Town of Jefferson, for a welfare check.  The investigation resulted in Matthew J. Bremer, 53, of Juda, being placed under arrest for Physical Abuse of a Child, Battery, and Disorderly Conduct.  Bremer was later incarcerated at the Green County Jail pending court. 

Operating While under the Influence

At 9:54 PM, Deputies responded to the W2100 block of CTH C, in the Town of Brooklyn, for a single motor vehicle crash with unknown injuries.  The investigation found that Anna E. Peters, 31, of Cambridge, was driving eastbound when she failed to negotiate a curve and entered the east ditch where the vehicle overturned.  Peters advised she was wearing her seatbelt and sustained minor injury.  The vehicle sustained disabling damage, with airbag deployment, and was towed from the scene.  

Peters was later placed under arrest for Operating While under the Influence and additionally cited for Failure to Control Vehicle and Operating with a Prohibited Alcohol Concentration (greater than .15).  Peters was later released to a responsible party pending court.
