The following events occurred on February 15, 2024:

ACCIDENT- PD

At 6:01 AM, Deputies responded to the W3800 blk of CTH W, Town of Exeter, for a one vehicle accident.  Investigation found that a vehicle operated by, James E. Markhardt, 16, of Belleville, was traveling eastbound when he hit slush and lost control of the vehicle.  The vehicle spun and he entered the north ditch backwards.  The passenger side of the truck struck a power pole. There was only superficial damage to the pole.  Markhardt advised he was not injured and was wearing his seatbelt.  The airbags did not deploy.  The vehicle sustained functional damage and was towed from the scene. 

OWI

At 7:52 AM, Deputies along with GEMS and MCFD responded to the N4600 blk of CTH J, Town of Monroe. A vehicle operated by Ryan T King, 38, of Argyle was southbound on CTH J. The vehicle crossed the centerline, ran off the east side of the roadway, went over a bridge, and struck the stream embankment. King was injured, and there was airbag deployment. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. 

King was arrested for OWI 6th offense, and a warrant through Green County. King was also cited for operating while revoked (alcohol related), failure to keep vehicle under control, fail to install IID, and non-registration of auto. King was jailed pending court

P&P VIOLATION

At 4:30 PM, Deputies responded to the P&P Office to take custody of Kyle B Disch, 39, of Albany on a probation hold.  Disch was transported to the Green County Jail.
