All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. 

The following incident occurred on Tuesday, August 15, 2023: 

Motor Vehicle Crash with Injury - 

At approximately11:24 AM, Deputies responded to a two vehicle crash with injuries in the W800 block of CTH E, in the Town of Decatur. The investigation revealed that the Green County Highway Dept. was patching the edge of the roadway when their red 2011 Ford F350 road maintenance truck and a road maintenance worker were sideswiped by a westbound SUV operated by James B. Graves, age 80 of Albany.

The road maintenance worker sustained injuries in the collision and was transported for medical treatment by private vehicle. James reported wearing his seatbelt and was not injured in the collision.

James' white Honda Pilot SUV sustained functional damage to the entire right side; there was no airbag deployment. James was able to drive the vehicle from the scene. The Green County Highway Dept. F350 sustained functional damage to the entire left side; there was no airbag deployment. The F350 was driven from the scene.

James was cited for failure to move over/slow down and released with a mandatory court appearance.
