The following incident occurred on Tuesday, May 23, 2023:
Motor Vehicle Crash –
At approximately 3:21 AM, Deputies responded to the N500 block of CTH M, Town of Cadiz, for a report of a one vehicle crash. Deputies arrived on scene and met with the driver, Jeremy Garrett, 30, of IL, who advised that he was traveling south bound on CTH M when he failed to negotiate a curve. The vehicle exited the roadway, went down an embankment, and came to a rest in a field. Jeremy reported being uninjured and was wearing a seatbelt.
The vehicle sustained disabling damage, no airbag deployment, and was towed from the scene. Jeremy was issued a citation for failure to maintain control of a vehicle. Jeremy was released pending a future non-mandatory court date.
