2023 Sheriff's Department Press Releases Posted on May 12, 2023

The following events occurred on May 11, 2023:

All person’s arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

 

MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH-INJURY:

 

At 4:35 p.m., Deputies along with Monroe Rural Fire Department and Green County EMS responded to the N1900 block of State Highway 69, in the Town of Clarno for a single vehicle roll over crash. Investigation revealed that a vehicle operated by Carolyn S. Graham, 81 of Cedarville was traveling southbound when she lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle then entered the west ditch and rolled. Graham sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. Graham reported wearing her seatbelt, and the airbags did not deploy. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene.

 

OWI:

 

At 10:48 p.m., Deputies responded to the area of State Highway 11 and County Highway S, in the Town of Jefferson for a traffic complaint of a suspected impaired driver. The vehicle was located and a traffic stop was conducted in the 100 block of N 18th Avenue, in the City of Monroe. Investigation resulted in the driver, Alfonso L. Lozano, 32 of Monroe being arrested for Operating Under the Influence (1st). Lozano was further cited for Operating with a Prohibited Alcohol Concentration. Lozano was incarcerated at the Green County Jail pending release to a responsible party. The Monroe Police Department assisted at the scene.
