All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

The following incident occurred on Thursday, May 04, 2023:

Warrant Arrest -

At approximately 9:50 AM, Deputies placed Derek J. Holden, 38 of McFarland, under arrest for an arrest warrant at the Green County Justice Center. Derek will be held at the Green County Jail Pending his initial court appearance. 

Motor Vehicle Crash with Injury -

At approximately  9:42 p.m., Deputies responded to the W4100 block of CTH W, Town of Exeter, for a report of a vehicle versus power pole crash. Deputies arrived on scene and spoke to the driver, Randy Olivares, 54, of Oregon, who advised he was traveling east bound on CTH W when a deer entered the roadway causing a collision. Randy then lost control of his vehicle and entered the north embankment. The vehicle then collided with a power pole causing it to overturn where it came to a rest on it's roof. Randy advised he was wearing his safety belt and was transported to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries. 

The vehicle had sustained disabling damage, airbag deployment, and was towed from the scene. Alliant energy responded as the crash had caused a local power outage. New Glarus Police Department, Belleville Police Department, New Glarus Fire Department, and New Glarus EMS assisted Deputies at the scene.

Warrant Arrest - 

At approximately 3:06 AM, Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the W1800 blk of STH 11, Town of Spring Grove. Further investigation resulted in the passenger, Nathaniel J. Clanton, 48 of Racine, being placed under arrest for three outstanding warrants through the Department of Corrections (1) and the Racine Police Department (2). Nathaniel will be housed at the Green County Jail pending his initial court appearance.
