Green County WI Severe Storm Damage Reported

2023 Sheriff's Department Press Releases Posted on March 31, 2023

On Friday March 31, at about 7:15pm, Green County first responders, utility crews and emergency management personnel responded to reports of storm damage to at least 12 structures in the Decatur Township area. No injuries were reported, however one family was displaced due to home damage. Multiple outbuildings were damaged. As of 11pm about 198 homes were still without power.

At about 7:15pm powerful storms moved through Southeast Green County prompting a tornado warning. The storms damaged homes, barns, farm buildings and utility poles. 

Residents discovering any storm damage who have not yet had contact with the Green County Sheriff's or Emergency Management offices are requested to contact Green County Emergency Management at 608-328-9416.

On Saturday the National Weather Service will be in the area to view damages.
