All persons arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
The following incident occurred on Thursday, February 23, 2023:
OWI Arrest –
At approximately 11:40 AM, Deputies, along with Juda First Response, responded to the W2300 blk of STH 11, Spring Grove Township, for a one vehicle accident.
Investigation found that a vehicle operated by, Austin T. H. Kempson, 46, of Port Edwards, was traveling west on STH 11. Kempson's vehicle lost control and traveled across the roadway and entered the south ditch where it struck a culvert. The vehicle traveled for a distance before coming to rest.
Kempson advised he was not injured in the accident. Kempson was not wearing his seatbelt and there was airbag deployment in the vehicle. The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was towed from the scene. Kempson was arrested for OWI 2nd Offense and a Probation Warrant. He was also cited for Failure to Maintain Control. He was jailed and was also given a mandatory court date.
