The following events occurred on February 20, 2023:
All person’s arrested or cited are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
OWI:
At 6:58 a.m., Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the N4800 block of State Highway 69, in the Town of Monroe, for speeding (99 miles per hour in a 55 mile per hour zone). Investigation resulted in the operator, Donald G. Bornemeier, 42 of Monroe, being arrested for Operating While Under the Influence (1st-Alcohol). Bornemeier was further cited for Operating with a Prohibited Alcohol Concentration, Operating Without a Valid License, Operate Motor Vehicle Without Insurance, Non-Registration of Auto, and Speeding. Bornemeier was released to a responsible party pending court.
TRAFFIC CRIME:
At 5:43 p.m., Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the N4200 block of Decatur Sylvester Road, in the Town of Decatur. Investigation resulted in the operator, Christian A. Castro, 26 of Monroe, being cited for Operating a Motor Vehicle after Revocation (due to alcohol) (Traffic Crime). Castro was released pending court.
