The following incident occurred on Friday, August 12, 2022:
Motor Vehicle Crash –
At approximately 2:26 PM, Deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash with no injury in the N4200 block of County Highway E., Town of Decatur.
Investigation determined a northbound vehicle operated by Danae B. Bump, 47 of Brodhead, was slowing due to a horse drawn buggy that was traveling in the roadway. While traveling at a slow rate of speed behind the buggy, Danae’s vehicle was rear ended by another northbound vehicle operated by Quintin D. Harris, 18 of Brodhead.
Both drivers reported wearing their seatbelts and not being injured. Neither vehicle had airbag deployment and both were driven from the scene. Quintin was verbally warned for following too close.
