The Mantoux tuberculin skin test (TST) is one of the methods for determining whether a person is infected with Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Reliable administration and reading of the TST requires standardization of procedures, training, supervision, and practice.
A nurse is available to do TB Skin Tests on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday from 12 – 1 pm. The cost is $20 and we accept cash or check. If you need to schedule a TB Skin Test outside of the noon hour, please call 608-328-9390 to schedule an appointment.
The skin test should be read between 48 and 72 hours after administration. A patient who does not return within 72 hours will need to be rescheduled for another skin test.
